g.nisbet@bham.ac.uk BioMy name's Gideon, I live in Birmingham, and I'm a newly appointed lecturer in classics at the University of Glasgow. 'Oxyrhynchites' were the inhabitants of Oxyrhynchus, a Greek city in Roman Egypt; I spent several years taking pictures of their rubbish. I ride a big red motorcycle (formerly a big black one -- but the red one is bigger), I like gardening and cooking, and I've divided the last year between academic research and learning how to plumb showers.
